Mothers Day - I Brake For Stamps - Faux Designer Paper

I finally had time to get inky in my craft room today.   I made some much needed mother's day cards.  I have 8 to do for our mom's and my girlfriends.  This card is one I did that I wasn't sure I liked how the background came out but now that it's done I think I really like it.

Background Technique:  Faux Designer Paper - Dec 2008.
Stamps:  I brake for stamps; Inkadinkadoo
Inks: Brillance Ink; copics
Punches: Martha Stewart

Background Whimsey copic method - I Brake For Stamps - Baby Girl

I did this welcome baby girl card for my cousin's daughter who is having a ... you guessed it... baby girl.

The image is a sweet rattle from I brake for stamps.  I just love it.  I colored it with copics.  I did the background with the background whimsey - copic method from the TJ Newsletter using the same colors so they would match. Background and sentiment stamps are from Stampin Up!

Morphed Twinkling H20's - IBFS

I was so excited to be able to use this new stamp I got from I Brake for Stamps.  I have lots more backgrounds that I can't wait to use it with.  This is a simple card I make using the Twinkling H20's technique, however I added the black on top.  I like the way the twinkling h20's gives it a watercolor look but I reallly wanted the stamp to be hightlighted so I stamped black ink over it.  I like the way it came out.

Sentiment is from Stampin Up!  Papers are from Stampin Up!, Gina K Designs and Paper Temptress.

Hope to have more this week as I have so many new stamps to play with...Hope work is SLOW....:)

Have a great night and Happy Crafting.

Exciting News - Design Team Member - IBFS

WOW, I have some very exciting news.  I have been invited to join the I Brake For Stamps design team.  What an honor.  I am so very excited as I have not been on a design team before.  This winter I was invited to participate in the Rick Dennis exclusive stamp blog hop as a guest and it was thrilling.  I loved every minute of it.

That being said, I was inspired to create this card with, of course, the IBFS small peacock stamp.  I combined a new and old technique from the technique junkies newsletter.  The techniques are Marbled Smoosh (Bonus 2006 CD) and Random Coloring (This month).  I used Stampin Up! markers on the stamp and on the background.  What fun and easy techniques for a stunning card.

I also used the 2 Stampin Up! markers to watercolor my flowers and used Stampin Up! cardstock so that everything would match!!!

The colors are my favorite and reminded me of spring...so I decided to make it into a Mother's Day card.

Hope you enjoy it and Happy Creating!
